It's different when you see it spelled out in front of you, isn't it.

I hate these kinds of lists, especially when I have to look for a name on them. But they need to be out there, they need to have the impact or things won't change.

NOT worth it!! AT ALL!!
I wonder how long the list of murdered Iraqis is for October?

BB - I hate these lists too. I hate the fact that none of these young people had to die. I hate the waste of the lost futures. We are less of a country because we have allowed the potential contributions of these individuals to be snuffed out.

Pam, I wish I could find a reliable site to tell us. If I could, I would publish the names.

Well done.

Damn! Worth what? What the hell did they die for? So bush can hopefully call himself a successful war president? Not my idea of a good reason to die.

There's a special place in hell waiting for this bastard.

Noble post. And it is not worth it. Not worth it at all...

I always like giving the lists of names -
it is impressive.

"We are less of a country because we have allowed the potential contributions of these individuals to be snuffed out."

Fanastic quote, and significant blog entry.

And a P.S. Would it be worth it if Jenna or Barbara were one of the lost?

It's a tragedy in scope that words can't adequately describe. I hate this! How many more of our troops will die as a result of the policies of these criminals?

How many more innocent Iraqis will die? This truly is devastating, thanks for keeping those names front and center.

We can't forget!

This is a very, very powerful post. It hurt a good deal even to skim the page. It's worse when those with power care little for such pain and misery. We never should have gone into Iraq.

Oh, and excellent blog, Melissa.

Powerful and sad...

How's my dying? Oddly disturbing...

Thank you for your strong voice my friend.

Peace.

This list grows in size almost faster than you can write. It has been a most mournful month as we have lost more than 100 in Iraq and Afghanistan.

I have a very good friend in Ramadi, Iraq - a Marine. I don't know which four, but four of the people on this list were in his platoon. It is tragic that these soldiers have died.

But if we do not stand up against militant radical Islam, then we will become subject to militant radical Islam. They are out to kill us. They have been out to kill us for a long time. They are coming for us. If our boys don't fight over there, then we will end up fighting over here. Sticking our heads in the sand will not stop them from coming. They are coming, and they are coming to kill.

God help us.

Plus there is no end in sight! How many more will be added each day? We lost 155,000 in the Vietnam War and 110,000 more committed suicide yet those statistics are ignored. How many of these kids will have alcohol or drug problems, PTSD, and the list goes on and on. It's heartbreaking.
